According to the proclamation, the PNA Club in Oil City “was established and has served Oil City and its members well over the years and the City of Oil City has been the recipient of many generous donations to the swimming pool, playgrounds, library, Police Department, Fire Department and Public Works.”

“I encourage all of our citizens to thank the PNA Club for all of their generosity, not only to the City but to the entire community,” Oil City Mayor Bill Moon said.

Receiving the proclamation on behalf of the PNA Club was its president, Mike Fedorek.

Fedorek said it only makes sense for the club to donate to the city.

“All of these services are needed,” Fedorek said.

One of the PNA’s recent donations was to the Oil City Fire Department to help repair Engine No. 2.

According to Oil City Fire Chief Mark Hicks, the engine has been repaired and is back in service after the Department originally though it wasn’t going to be able to repair the engine and was going to have to either find a way to buy another engine or close the Northside Fire Station.
