June L. Bish, 84 of Hawthorn, died early Wednesday morning, May 28, at the Clarion Hospital.

She was born on June 24, 1929 in Hawthorn. She was the daughter of Ralph Robert and Esther Margaret (McAninch) Neill. June was first married to Donald C. Shick on December 25, 1951 and he preceded her in death on October 22, 1963. She then married Darl E. Bish on August 21, 1965 and he preceded her in death on August 21, 2004.

June was the youngest of ten children and was proud of her Irish heritage. She was a member of the Hawthorn Calvary United Methodist Church, the Hawthorn Area Fire Dept. ladies Auxillary and the Order of the Eastern Star Chapter 230 of New Bethlehem. She was active in the Lion’s Club with her husband, Darl and in the Girl Scouts. She was a wonderful loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother who was called “camp mom-mom” by all who knew her. She lived in Hawthorn most of her life except from 1968 to 1972 where she lived in Tionesta.

June is survived by four daughters; Debbie Kay Bolibruck and husband Steve of Butler, Debbi Lynn White and husband Rich of Distant, Cindy Dunn and husband Bob of Chicora and Missy Ann Myers and husband Larry of New Bethlehem, twelve grandchildren; Bronya Raisley, Steve Bolibruck, Bridget White, Shane White, Lisa Bolibruck, Alyson Dunn, Leila Dunn, Rebecca Lamison, Mandy Myers, Tim Myers, Doug Lamison and Andy Myers, eleven great grandchildren, a sister, Helena Crissman of New Bethlehem, and a brother, Ralph Neill, Jr. of Brookville.

In addition to her parents and both husbands, she was also preceded in death by a daughter, Sue Lamison who passed away in 2011, four sisters; Ethel Troup, Jessie Tavenner, Verna Troupe and Ruby Copenhaver and three brothers; Preston Neill, Everett Neill and Paul Neill.

Visitation will be on Saturday, May 31, from 3 – 8 at the Alcorn Funeral Home in Hawthorn. The funeral service will be held on Sunday, June 1 at 2:00 pm at the Hawthorn Calvary United Methodist Church with Pastor Ben Shindledecker officiating. Interment will be in the Mt. Zion Cemetery, Mahoning Township, Armstrong County.
