Katherine-JohnsonKatherine L. Johnson, 89 of Cranberry went to be the Lord at 4:05 PM Saturday, June 3, 2017at her home after a lengthy illness.

She was born September 26, 1927 to the late Earl P. and Harriet B. Davison and was raised on the Davison Family Farm at Nickelville.

Katherine was the last surviving member of her immediate family.

Katherine attended Rockland High School and most of her life was spent being an exceptional homemaker.

She did work for ten years at the American Greeting Card Factory in Reno.

Mrs. Johnson was of Protestant faith.

Katherine loved all animals especially Chihuahua dogs and all kinds of rabbits. She truly enjoyed her many furry friends over the years.

On April 13, I945 she married Robert W. Johnson and he survives. They celebrated seventy-two years of marriage this past April.

Surviving in addition to her husband are her daughters, Barbara J. Dale and her husband Walt of Cranberry and Carol Lee Gustafson of Oil City.

She is also survived by a sister-in-law, Barbara Crudo of Oil City, a nephew, Eric Davison and his daughters Alexandria, Rachel and Claire of Oil City and a niece, Karen Davison of California.

Also surviving is a very special great nephew, Dustin Heeter and his twin daughters Addison and Emma of Clarksburg, PA and a great niece, Rachel Heeter and her children Jada and Dawson of Oil City.

In addition she is also survived by a very special and longtime friend, Roberta Wenner of Cranberry.

Katherine was preceded in death by her parents, her brothers, Ralph W. Davison, James D. Heeter and an infant brother, Ronald and a nephew Daniel Heeter. A son-in-law, Thomas J. Gustafson also preceded her in death.

Funeral arrangements entrusted to Huff Funeral Home & Cremation Services Inc., 312 West Park St. Franklin where family and friends are welcome from 1:00 – 3:00 & 6:00 – 8:00 P.M. Tuesday.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Sam Wagner, Associate Pastor of Christ United Methodist Church, officiating.

Entombment will follow at Sunset Hill Memorial Gardens.

Because of her love for animals the family suggests that memorials be made to the Venango County Humane Society Building Fund P.O. Box 1045 Oil City, PA 16301.

The family wishes to thank Asera Care Hospice and the VNA as well as Dr. Stephen Cenedella for the exceptional care Katherine received.
