Kathryn A. Daugherty

Kathryn A. Daugherty, 70, of Oil City, passed away Friday, January 4, 2019 at St. Vincent Hospital in Erie.

Born November 24, 1948 in Oil City, she was a daughter of the late John L. and Geraldine Stevenson Copley.

She graduated from Oil City High School in the class of 1966.

Mrs. Daugherty had attended Trinity United Methodist Church.

Kathy loved playing baseball and softball, and volunteered as a score keeper and coach for her boys’ baseball teams.

On June 9, 1967, she was married to Dennis L. Daugherty, who survives.

Surviving in addition to her husband are two sons, Denny Daugherty and his wife Sandie of Nashville, TN, and Sean Daugherty and his wife Tina of Nashville, TN; three grandchildren, Tylor Daugherty and his wife Shelby, Josh Daugherty, and Jessie Anderson; and four great-grandchildren, Kailey and Harper Bennett, and Bryson and Annabeth White.

Also surviving is a brother, Larry Copley and his wife Beck of Sheffield.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, William, Jack, and Bob Copley; and a sister, Margaret Craft.

Funeral services are private and will be conducted at the convenience of the family.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society or to the charity of one’s choice.

The Morrison Funeral Home is assisting the family with funeral arrangements.
