Keystone, Clarion to Join Forces for Fourth Annual Hoops for Hope Basketball Games

KNOX, Pa. (D9Sports) – The Keystone and Clarion basketball teams will join forces Saturday, Jan. 12, for the fourth annual Hopes for Hope event to raise money for the Cancer Center at Clarion Hospital.

This year’s event will be a five-game extravaganza at Keystone High School with one junior high game, two junior varsity games and two varsity games being played.

Doors open at 10 a.m. with a 10:30 a.m. junior high boys’ scrimmage to follow. The junior varsity boys’ game will then be played at Noon with the junior varsity girls’ game at 1:30 p.m. followed by the varsity boys’ game at 3 p.m. and concluding with the varsity girls’ game at 5 p.m.

At 4:30 p.m., the Keystone and Clarion players and all cancer survivors at the game will take part in an on-court ribbon ceremony.

There will be all sorts of off-the-court activities as well including a concession stand, a 3-point contest, a Chinese Auction, 50/50 games and more.

Admission is free to all cancer survivors.
