Keystone SMILES Teaches West Forest Students ‘Rules of the Road’

| June 24, 2018

TIONESTA, Pa. (EYT) – This year Keystone SMILES brought pedal bikes to West Forest school to teach second-grade students the rules of the road.

Before the students could jump on a pedal bike, they were properly fitted with new helmets – which they could keep. Then, the instructor explained the driving course and each road sign.

The students drove the course, obeying signs such as stop, yield, and merge.

Once the students were acclimated to their bikes, the class had races to determine the fastest racer. Quinton Mellon drove away as the class winner.

The day’s activities were funded by Beau Proper and Bridge Builders Community Foundations.
