KNOX, Pa. (EYT) – Knox Borough Police say a 15-year-old boy is facing criminal charges in connection with a recent threat made at Keystone Junior-Senior High School.

According to a press release issued today, police became aware of the threat after a group of students came forward on Friday to disclose that the suspect claimed he was “going to kill everyone” on December 22.

Chief Jason Bowen told exploreVenango.com that the threat was verbally communicated to students at the high school approximately two weeks ago.

Through the course of the investigation, one student was interviewed and taken into custody on criminal charges. He was subsequently placed in an unidentified facility by Clarion County Juvenile Probation.

In addition to charging the juvenile, Knox Borough Police has increased patrols in the school area as students arrive and depart the school grounds.

No further information has been released.
