CRANBERRY TOWNSHIP, Pa. (EYT) — A Kittanning man was jailed following a one-car accident on State Route 322, east of Whipperwill Road in Cranberry Township, Venango County.

According to Franklin-based State Police, around 7:20 a.m. on January 19, Paul M. Parise, 32, of Kittanning was traveling west of SR 322 in a 2006 Coupe, and failed to properly negotiate a right curve.

His vehicle traveled off the northern roadside and struck a cement culvert with its left front tire before stopping approximately two feet off the roadway.

Police say Parise was found at the scene allegedly intoxicated and was detained for driving a vehicle while under the influence of alcohol.

Parise, who wasn’t injured in the crash, was transported to UPMC for blood-alcohol testing and then to the Franklin State Police station.

He was found to be on state parole, and consequently, a detainer was placed on him to be lodged in the Venango County Jail per State Probation and Parole.

Charges are pending the laboratory results.
