Larry D. Yurga, of Tionesta, formerly of Ford City, Leechburg and Avonmore, went to be with the Lord Wednesday, January 14, 2015.

At his side was his wife, Bonnie, who was his primary caregiver and the love of his life.

He was born March 26, 1946. Larry was of the Protestant faith.

Larry was a retired coalminer from Bethlehem Steel.

He was an Army veteran who was stationed in Korea.

Larry enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing cards (especially poker) and games, staying at his camp, all his cats and being with his many friends in the Tionesta area.

Larry will be greatly missed by his wife, Bonnie (Barr), whom he married Aug. 7, 1965, in Leechburg.

He leaves behind his sons, Donald (Debbie Brocious), of Wells, Maine, Alan (Gail) of Casco, Maine; daughters, Brenda (Mike) Cribbs, of Creekside, and Sandy (Rich) Mores, of McGrann; grandchildren, Naomi, Ryan (Nicole), Kimberly, Jeremy (Samantha), Samantha and fiance, Mike Bash, Emile Chelsea, Cal, Matt, Maggie, Halley, and Brandon; step-grandchildren, Christopher, Jeremy, Christopher and Jennifer; great-granddaughters, Kaily, Ayla and Alexa, and while waiting on his first great-grandson, Mason, due any day now, who were the delight of his life; his brothers, Andrew (Margie) of Marieville, and Dale, of Niles, Ohio; sister, Janie (Wesley) Wetzel, of Ford Cliff; sister-in-law, Glenda Yurga, of Chicora; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Andy and Betty Yurga; infant son, Donald Allen; step-granddaughter, Nicole; his in-laws, Don and Erma Barr; brother, Kenneth Yurga; sister, Sally Szymanski; and sisters-in-law, Jane Yurga and Cindy Coleman.

Viewing will be 2pm to 4pm and 6pm to 8 pm Saturday at the Mantini Funeral Home Inc., 701 6th Ave., Ford City, where funeral service will follow at 8 p.m., officiated by Pastor Bob French of Baptist Church.
