Larry E WingerLarry Winger, 65, of Bridgewater, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 29, 2017 with his loving wife Therese by his side.

Larry was born on March 23, 1952 in Oil City, PA; he was the son of the late Anna Elizabeth (Hillyard) and Ervin Robert Winger.

He served proudly in the United States Navy on the USS Dewey during the Vietnam conflict.

He met his devoted wife, Therese Belleville, while stationed in Newport, RI, and they married on July 21, 1973. They raised two children and he was awaiting the arrival of his first grandchild due this May.

Larry was an animal lover and owned many dogs, including his devoted companion Honda who died this past November.

Larry was a long-time resident of Bridgewater, MA and was an active member of the Standish Sportsman’s Club where he served in a variety of leadership roles.

In his spare time he enjoyed archery, hunting, golf, photography and writing.

Larry is survived by his wife Therese (Belleville) Winger; his daughter, Karen Antoinette Winger and her fiancé, Ionut Bogdan Sandru; his son, Adam Michael Winger and his wife Kristen (DeMeo) Winger; his siblings, Mary Ann Richards and her husband the late Herbert, Nancy Jean Sanders and her husband Bernard, James Leroy Winger, and Dale Edward Winger and his wife Debbie; his father-in-law, Leon Belleville; his sister-in-law’s, Donna Winger, Pauline Belleville-Taylor and her husband Bill, Shirley Belleville and her husband Brian Bush and Jacqui Belleville and her partner Aimee Bird.

He was the brother of the late Ervin “Bob” Winger and son-in-law of the late Rolande Marquis Belleville.

Funeral services will be held in the Russell & Pica Funeral Home, 441 South Main St., (Rt 28) WEST BRIDGEWATER on Tuesday, April 4th at 11:00AM.

Interment will follow in the VA National Cemetery, Bourne at 1:00PM. Calling hours in the Russell & Pica Funeral Home on Monday from 1:00-3:00PM & 5:00-7:00PM.
