Las Vegas Couple Arrested in Paint Township with 153 Pounds of Weed

PAINT TWP., Pa. (EYT) — A Las Vegas couple made an unexpected pit stop in Clarion County after state police seized 153 pounds of marijuana during a traffic stop on Interstate 80 in Paint Township.

William Kenneth Pollock, 63, and Robin Lynn Pollock, 60, were arraigned Tuesday at Magisterial District Judge Timothy P. Schill’s office on the following charges:

  • Manufacture, Delivery, or Possession With Intent to Manufacture or Deliver, Felony
  • Conspiracy — Manufacture, Delivery, or Possession With Intent to Manufacture or Deliver
  • Int Possesion Controlled Substance By Person Not Registered, Misdemeanor
  • Use/Poss Of Drug Parapharnalia, Misdemeanor

According to a criminal complaint filed Wednesday, Clarion-based State Police Tpr. Huffman initiated a traffic stop along Interstate 80 eastbound Tuesday around 11:05 a.m.

A Ford Expedition with Utah registration was stopped near mile marker 60 for a traffic violation.

The driver of the vehicle was identified as Robin Pollock. Police identified William Pollock as a passenger.

“I became suspicious of criminal activity and I requested consent to search the vehicle which was denied,” said Tpr. Huffman in the criminal complaint.

The criminal complaint states that a Pennsylvania State Police drug detection dog was utilized to conduct an exterior search of the vehicle. The dog detected an odor indicating drugs were present, according to the criminal complaint.

A probable cause search of the vehicle uncovered four large black “hockey bags” that contained approximately 153 pounds of marijuana.

Robin and William Pollock were arraigned before Judge Schill at 4 p.m. and placed in the Clarion County Jail after failing to post $50,000 cash bail each.

They face preliminary hearings on May 23 at 3 p.m. with Judge Schill presiding.
