Lee V. Lauer

Lee V. Lauer, age 80, of Tionesta, PA, died on Sunday, September 17, 2017 at the Titusville Area Hospital, Titusville, PA.

He was born June 21, 1937 in Oil City, PA, son of the late Albinus and Norma (Graham) Lauer.

On August 26, 1961 at St. Michael’s Church in Fryburg, PA., he married Judy M. (Lane) Lauer who died June 30, 2014. Lee worked thirty plus years as a supervisor of the maintenance department for Evenflo-Crator Manufacturing in Tionesta. He was a member of St. Anthony’s R.C. Church of Tionesta where he also served as an usher. He also was a member of the Fryburg Sportsman’s Club and the Knights of Columbus in Oil City, PA. He served in the US Army.

Surviving are a son, David L. Lauer and his wife Nicole of Eden, New York. Two daughters, Carol L. Miller and her husband Cliff of Curwensville, PA; Teresa L. Waddell and her husband William of Pleasantville, PA.

Five grandchildren, Brandon Miller and his fiancé Kate McCallan of Pittsburgh, PA; Emily Kolesar and her husband Nicholas of Bethlehem, PA; Lydia Waddell of Pleasantville; Jack and Jordon Lauer of Eden. Two brothers, James Lauer and his wife Peg of Jersey Shore, PA; Robert “Pete” Lauer and his wife Beverly of Tionesta. Two sisters, Barbara Smerkar of Lucinda, PA; Connie Charney and her husband Albert of McKean, PA. Several nieces and nephews. A sister-in-law, Loretta Harvey of Tionesta.

In addition to his wife and parents Lee was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Helen “Dodie” Lauer. Two brother-in-law’s, Ambrose Smerkar and David Harvey. He was the God-Father of Cathy Smerkar who is also deceased.

Friends will be received at the Norman J. Wimer Funeral Home of Tionesta on Wednesday from 6-8 PM.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, September 21, 2017 at 11 am at St. Anthony R.C. Church with Father Joseph Kalinowski celebrating the Mass.
