Leo W. Hitchcock, Sr., 79, formerly of New Jersey Ave. in James City, passed away Sunday, September 2, 2018, at Sena Kean Manor Smethport.

Mr. Hitchcock was born July 29, 1939, in Portville, N.Y., son of Walter A. and Ruby A. Reed Hitchcock. On January 16, 1961, in Perry, N.Y., he married the former Barbara Willis, who survives.

Leo was self-employed as a small engine repairman and automobile mechanic.

Surviving, besides his wife, are three daughters, Louise Ann (James) Greene of Bradford, Barbara A. (Glenn) Mitchell of Somerset and Cindy A. Hulings of Smethport; 3 sons, Leo W. Hitchcock, Jr, of Phoenix, Ari., John W Hitchcock of Bradford and Christopher L. (Kathy) Hitchcock of Cassadaga, N.Y. Seventeen grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews also survive.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Hitchcock was preceded in death by a daughter, Patty Ann Hitchcock and a brother, James W. Hitchcock, Sr.

Private funeral services will be held at the convenience of his family. Burial will be in Allegany Cemetery, Allegany, NY.
