Leroy H. Glass, 79, formerly of Venus, passed away on Monday, January 17, 2017 at Golden Living in Oil City after a lengthy illness.

Born on June 30, 1937 in Venus he was the son of Lester and Julia McCauley Glass.

On October 16, 1971 he was married to the former Barbara Sullivan who preceded him in death on June 10, 1999.

Leroy started his career at Aspland Tree Experts, then moved to Foster Forbes and finally retired from Salsgiver Lumber.

He enjoyed hunting, spending time in the outdoors and Square Dancing.

Leroy was a member of the NRA and the Fryburg Sportsman’s Club.

Surviving brothers include: Paul and his wife Mary of Venus, Robert and his wife Dorothy, Richard of Venus, and Roger and wife Barb of Venus; sisters: Jennie Morrison of Jackson SC, and Marjorie Gifford of Oil City. A brother-in-law Richard Sullivan of Youngsville and numerous nieces and nephews also survive.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Barbara, brothers Lester Jr., Charles, James, and Lawrence; and sisters Esther Beck, Ethel Osborn, and Betty Culbertson.

Friends will be received at the Faller Funeral Home, Inc. in Fryburg on Thursday, January 19, 2017 from 6-8pm and also on Friday, January 20, 2017 from 1-2pm.

Funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday, January 20, 2017 at Faller Funeral Home, Inc. in Fryburg, with Rev. Robert Burdett officiating.

Interment will be in the Venus Cemetery following the service.
