Levia Michiline Cramer

Levia Michiline Cramer, 100, most recently of Sligo, Pa., passed away on Tuesday afternoon, October 9, 2018, at the Clarview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

She was born in Force Pa. on December 22, 1917, to Eulalia Silvia (Michilini) and Anniballe Enrico Michiline. She spent her youth in Distant and married William Martin Cramer on August 6, 1936. They were married for 34 years until his death in 1970. They lived briefly in Oakmont, but soon returned to Distant, the place Levia lived most of her life and always considered home.

She is survived by two children, Robert Martin Cramer (Kathleen) of Rockville, Maryland and Gloria Joyce Cramer Harman (Terry) of New Bethlehem; five grandchildren, Brian Ray Harman (Kay), Keith Martin Cramer (Anjy), Michael William Harman (Courtney), Christopher William Cramer (Kelli), and Tara Louise Glover (Ryan); fourteen great-grandchildren; Travis, Wayne, Madison, Grayson, Taylor, Spencer, Camron, Carsyn, Shan, Nick, Samantha, Mae, Cross, and Belle, and nine great-great-grandchildren; Levi, Jaxson, Kyra, Kason, Drew, Penny, Beau, Ryan, and Huck.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, William Martin Cramer, her brothers, John and Leo Michiline, and her sisters, Mary Clemens, Francis Mattei, and Marian Valdner.

She was an active member of the Oakland Church of God, sang in the choir, and was particularly proud to have participated in their living Christmas Tree. She was a member of the WCG and worked at the church quilting, making noodles, Easter eggs, vegetable soup, and homemade apple butter. She worked for the Redbank Valley School District for 18 years. She loved making zucchini bread and elderberry jelly to give to family and friends. She loved her flowers and spent many hours planting and tending to them. She also enjoyed photography and took hundreds of pictures of her favorite things: family, friends, and her flowers.

Visitation will be on Friday, October 12, 2018, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Alcorn Funeral Home, 4065 Brookville St. Hawthorn, Pa. 16230. The funeral service will be on Saturday, October 13, 2018, at 11:00 a.m. at the Oakland Church of God, 122 Kohlersburg Road, Distant, Pa. 16223, with Pastor Jimmy Swogger officiating. Interment will follow in the Oakland Cemetery in Distant.
