Linda Ann Walters

Linda Ann Walters, 77, of Tamarac, Florida, died Wednesday, March 7, 2018.

She was born July 27, 1940, in Brookville, PA, the daughter of the late Dr. Eugene and Veronica Coleman Anchors.

She met Cecil D. Walters and in 1960 they were married.

Linda was always known for having a smile on her face and always offered a comforting word to those who needed it, even when faced with her own challenges. She attended Clarion University in Pennsylvania where she received her Real Estate license. She was an avid Clarion University men’s basketball fan and enjoyed having the entire team over for dinner after winning in Kansas City. John Calipari, then a player, now the coach of the Kentucky Wildcats. Thanks to Joe Degorigo for his support with the team. She also loved going to the Baseball games to watch her sons Joel and Terrence who participated.

Linda was very active in the JDF, since her son Joel developed diabetes at the age of 9 months.

Linda loved to travel and enjoyed it most when her whole family went to Hawaii for two weeks sponsored by Lou Finotti.

Linda was employed by Lord n Taylor, Burdines, and Dillards as a certified foundation fitter until her retirement.

She was an active member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church in Coral Springs.

Surviving her is her loving husband of 57 years Cecil D. Walters, cherished children Pamela (Kevin) Abbott and Barry Walters, five grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.

Her two sons Terrence and Joel both preceded her in death.
