linda wilsonLinda L. Wilson, 74, of Cooperstown, passed away at 2:30 pm at the Titusville Area Hospital, Titusville, PA on Monday, June 5.

Born in Oil City on September 8, 1942, she was the daughter of the late Clifton and Ruth McMurdy Young.

She was a home health aide for the Venango County Visiting Nurses Association.

Linda was a former Treasurer and Board Member of the Oil Creek chapter of Trout Unlimited; a member of the Rainbow Bowmen Archery Club and The Friends of Drake Well. She also volunteered for the Oil Creek and Titusville Railroad.

In addition to her husband, Linda is survived by her son, Stephen S. Wilson and his wife, Kimberly, of Oil City; her brother, Robert Cochran of Tuscon, AZ and her sister, Janet (Young) Krug of Tuscon, AZ. She is also survived by her special nieces, Ashley O’ Regan and her husband, John, and their children, Keegan and Keira of Ramstien, Germany and Aleisa Krug of Tucson, AZ.

Linda was preceded in death by both her parents; her brother, Raymond Cochran and her step-father, Paul Cochran.

Friends will be received at the Gardinier Funeral Home, Inc., 1315 Chestnut St., Franklin, on Friday, June 9 from 2 pm to 4 pm and 6 pm to 8 pm.

Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Saturday, June 10 at 11:00 am with Rev. Mark Fultz, Pastor of the Cooperstown Evangelistic Tabernacle, officiating.

Interment will be at Bethel Cemetery.

The family has requested that memorial contributions be made to the Friends of the O.C. & T Railroad, 7 Elm Street, Oil City, PA 16301 and/or Oil Creek Trout Unlimited — (OCTU), PO Box 366, Franklin, PA 16323.
