Local Groups Collaborate to Streamline Assistance to Those Affected By Titusville Fire

(EYT) – The United Way of the Titusville Region and Titusville Community Development Agencies are bringing together agencies and organizations that offer a range of services and assistance to individuals, businesses and organizations that were affected by the Titusville fires on March 17 and 18.

All community members affected by the fire, including first responders, are encouraged to attend. There are many forms of recovery assistance available including financial assistance, low-interest loans, document reconstruction, transportation, counseling, and more.

Organizations that will have representatives on hand to match needs with services available, and to initiate the application process include:

Greater Titusville Development Foundation and United Way of the Titusville Region Team Up to Coordinate Services in the Aftermath of the Fire

The United Way of the Titusville Region and Greater Titusville Development Foundation have teamed up to help individuals and businesses who were touched by the Towne Square fire access the continuum of services available to help them recover from the events of last week. The two organizations are also helping direct donors to funds that match their charitable giving goals.

United Way Fund Helps Support Basic Needs

The United Way of the Titusville Region is committed to being the driving force in improving the lives of the people in the region through actions that address and reduce the community’s human service needs. UWTR will be working collaboratively with the Titusville Community Development Agencies and the local human service providers in the community to identify and address the needs of those impacted.

The United Way of the Titusville Region (UWTR) has set up the Phoenix Fund to help individuals directly impacted by the fire in the downtown. Funds will support short term financial hardship for individuals due to loss of employment; first responder needs; counseling services, etc. “UWTR has a 70 year history of supporting the needs of the residents of the community and is happy to serve the region in collaboration with the Greater Titusville Development Foundation during this difficult time,” stated Pat Nosko, President of the organization

The United Way Phoenix Fund is currently accepting tax deductible donations, which will be used to meet the needs of individuals directly affected by the fire. Donations to the Phoenix Fund can be mailed to UWTR-Phoenix, PO Box 401, Titusville, PA 16354 or online at www.titusvilleunitedway.com.
