FRANKLIN, Pa. (EYT) — Franklin Preservation will hold a Tiki BBQ Party fundraiser featuring Gaetano’s Underworld Blues Band on Saturday, August 18, at the Old Lutheran Church in Franklin.

Ed’s Smokin’ BBQ will be on site from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. with ribs, pulled pork, smoked turkey and more.

Attendees should bring a lawn chair or blanket and may bring their own beer or wine to the party.

Soft drinks, water, and desserts made by Sweet Euphoria Shoppe will be available.

Canopies will be provided for protection from sun or rain.

From 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., Gaetano’s Underworld Blues Band will play in the former church sanctuary.

The band plays both blues standards and original tunes with jazz, funk and R&B influences.

A review by the Smokey Mountain Blues Society describes Gaetano “Tom” Letizia as an “extraordinary guitar player,” who transcends “many styles of playing to get out what he wants to play.”

Admission to the concert is by donation.

Free parking will be available in the parking lot behind the First Baptist Church on Buffalo Street.

The fundraiser benefits the restoration of the Old Lutheran Church. Built in 1886, the church is one of the best examples of Stick Victorian architecture in Franklin.

The Old Lutheran Church is located at 1101 Buffalo Street, Franklin, Pa.
