Local Racers Have Strong Days at Big Red Invitational

WEST MIDDLESEX, Pa. (EYT) –Local cross country runners from Venango County had strong meets at the Big Red Invitational at West Middlesex Saturday.

In the boys’ varsity race, Cranberry finished sixth, Rocky Grove ninth, Franklin 18th and A-C Valley/Union 30th.

Local runners finishing in the Top 50 in the boys’ race included: Jacob Eshleman of Franklin (16th), Matt Woolcock of Cranberry (17th), Daniel Fisher of Cranberry (20th), Eli Dickson of Rocky Grove (33rd), Zac Clayton of Rocky Grove (34th) and Magnum Vincent of Rocky Grove (43rd).

The girls’ varsity race saw Oil City take sixth, Cranberry seventh, Franklin 21st and A-C Valley/Union 26th.

Local runners finishing in the Top 50 in the girls’ race included Olivia Mumford of Oil City (13th), Ziegler Kalynne of Cranberry (14th), Emma Stevenson of Oil City (26th), Lauren Varsek of Cranberry (44th) and Alexis Hawthorne of Franklin (50th).
