OIL CITY, Pa. — Local seventh graders can take advantage of a free YMCA Membership through the Seventh Grade Initiative at the Oil City YMCA.

The Seventh Grade Initiative is a program that keeps kids off the streets and out of trouble by offering them a safe place to be when they are away from home. The Oil City YMCA offers every child a free membership during their 7th grade year.

Seventh graders that join the YMCA through the seventh grade initiative can participate in all programs at the member rate. Programs are either free or reduced with a membership.

To sign up for a membership, seventh graders need to bring their current school ID or most recent report card to the YMCA for verification. Membership is good during the entire seventh grade year.
