Local Students Participate in National Walkout Against Gun Violence

ROCKY GROVE, Pa. (EYT) – Students across the country, including some from the area, were part of a national effort to remember the Parkland, Florida shooting victims and to protest gun violence.

It’s been one month since the shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School left 17 dead and dozens more wounded.

At Rocky Grove High School, SADD (Students Against Destructive Decisions), led by Hannah Young, Hayley Ripple and Carly Rae Stewart led a march that included an estimated 150 students.
