Local Teen Ejected from Vehicle in Interstate 80 Crash

IRWIN TWP., Pa. (EYT) – Three people were injured Saturday in a one-vehicle accident on Interstate 80.

Franklin-based State Police say the accident happened around 7:01 p.m. when a 2005 Ford Ranger operated by Jordon L. Johnson, 20, of Knox, started to fish-tale while traveling west near mile marker 28.6.

Johnson’s vehicle left the roadway and crashed into an embankment before rolling over multiple times.

During the accident, a 17-year-old Tionesta girl was ejected from the vehicle; however, she only suffered minor injuries.

Johnson and a second passenger, Douglas M. Comer, 18, of Bradford, also suffered minor injuries in the accident.

All occupants were transported to Grove City Hospital for treatment.

Police say all occupants were wearing safety belts.

Superior Ambulance, Clintonville VFD, and Hovis Towing assisted at the scene.
