Lois I. Sliker, 89, of Tionesta passed away on Tuesday, August 28, 2012 at UPMC Northwest after a lengthy illness.

She was born on November 20, 1922 in Kelletville, PA. She was the daughter of Victor William and Mary Lucy Goode Nelson. Lois attended grade school in Kelletville, PA and graduated from Tionesta High School. She went to Erie Commercial College and did secretarial work. She had worked at GE, Bliley Electric, and had retired from Harrison Machine Co.

Lois was married December 20, 1941 to Randall H. Sliker who preceded her in death on November 23, 2007. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Raymond Nelson of Warren, and a sister, Beatrice Irvin of Sheffield.

Lois and her husband lived in Erie for 42 years until 1983 when they moved to Tionesta and operated the Double R Campground in their retirement years.

She attended Washington Chapel and Tylersburg United Methodist Church.

Lois loved playing cards, playing solitaire on the computer, and visiting with family and friends. She also bowled in her early years in many leagues in Erie and Seneca.

Lois is survived by one daughter Stacy Langer and husband Timothy of Erie, and three grandchildren; Ryan and Valerie of Erie and also Denise Kuberry and her husband Paul of SC. Also surviving, is a brother-in-law, Lowell Sliker, who is 94, and several nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received from 2pm to 4pm and 7pm to 9pm on Friday, August 31, 2012 at the Faller Funeral Home Inc. in Fryburg.

Funeral services will be held at 11 am on Saturday, September 1, 2012 at the Faller Funeral Home Inc. in Fryburg with Rev. Randy Evans, Clarion Forest VNA Hospice Chaplin Officiating.

Interment will be at Washington Cemetery, Clarion County.

The family suggests that memorials be made to Clarion-Forest VNA.
