Lois J. Hetrick, 71, died peacefully Saturday morining July 16, 2016 at Serenity Hospice House in Shippenville PA. following a lengthy illness.

Born April 4, 1945 in Oak Ridge, she was the daughter of Leroy and Betty Shick.

Mrs. Hetrick graduated from Redbank Valley High School in 1963. She continued her education at Indiana University of Pennsylvania earning a degree in Home Economics in 1966.

She briefly taught Home Economics at Brockway High School. She was then employed at McCauley trucking company. Later in her life, she was a Nanny and a home care provider in the Washington DC area.

Mrs Hetrick attended the First Church of God in New Bethlehem.

She enjoyed reading, visiting with friends, trips to Washington DC to see the Cherry Blossoms, and taking care of others, especially Alex and Tyler.

She is survived by a her two sons and spouses, Brent Hetrick and his wife Cyndy of Perth, Australia; Kyle Hetrick and his wife Tracey of New Bethlehem; three grandsons, Matthew, Brian and Tyler Hetrick.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

A memorial service will be held at the Oakland Church of God in Distant on Sunday, July 31, 2016 at 2:00 PM With Pastor Jimmy Swogger officiating.
