Salamone LoisLois L. Salamone, 88, of St. Petersburg, passed away Thursday, July 23, 2015, at UPMC Northwest in Seneca.

Born on June 17, 1927, in St. Petersburg, Lois was the daughter of the late Lawrence and Nellie Levy Linnon.

Lois was a graduate of St. Petersburg-Richland High School. She enjoyed spending time with her family and visiting with all of her neighbors and friends on the porch. She was always up for a card game or trying her luck with scratch off tickets.

She is survived by her husband, Tony Salamone, whom she married on August 4, 1951 at St. Mary Roman Catholic Church in Parker. Also surviving are two daughters, Judy Lentz and her husband, Steve, of Emlenton and Jean Schaffer and her husband, Jim, of Pahrump, NV; four grandchildren, Eric Lentz of Seattle, WA, Erin Lentz-McMahon and her husband, John of Villanova, Joanna Holleman and her husband, Bruce, and Jamie Schaffer, both of Pahrump, NV; four great-grandchildren, Dylan Caha, Kaylee Holleman, Charlotte Schaffer, and Alex Lentz; three step-grandchildren, Maura, Jackie and John McMahon, III.

Lois was preceded in death by three brothers, Lawrence “Pete” Linnon; Robert “Bob” Linnon; Paul “Gump” Linnon, and a sister, Corrine Renfrew.

Ecclesiastes 3:1: There is an appointed time for everything, and a time for every affair under the heavens.

Friends will be received at the Hile Funeral Home Inc., 802 Grove St., Saint Petersburg, from 4-7 p.m. Friday.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Saturday from St. Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church, Emlenton, with the Rev. William R. Barron, church pastor, officiating.

Interment will follow at St. Petersburg Cemetery.

Recitation of the Rosary will be held at 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home followed by Vigil Prayers.
