Lorna McCleary Wood, 83, of Clarion, passed away on September 9, 2017, at the Clarion Hospital.

Born December 20, 1933, in Miola, Highland Township, Clarion County, she was the daughter of the late Clarence Reuben and Lucy (Younker) McCleary. The family moved to Clarion in 1943 where she attended school and graduated from Clarion Area High School in 1951.

She was a bank teller in Pennsylvania, New York, and Maryland, retiring in 1996. Her hobbies included knitting, crocheting, and sewing.

She was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Clarion since 1996.

She is survived by a daughter, Diane Aaron, of Wyalusing, PA; a son, David Aaron and wife Susie, of Metairie, LA; and a son, Matthew Aaron and wife Lesley, of Hubert, NC; two granddaughters, four grandsons, and three great-grandsons and two great-granddaughters. In addition, she is survived by a brother, James McCleary of Miola; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Stephen Aaron, in 1958; a son, Kevin Aaron, in 1999; two sisters, Helen Rader and Jean Coachman; three brothers, Russell, Richard, and David McCleary; and sisters-in-law Kathryn McCleary, Shirley McCleary, Ola Mae McCleary and Helen McCleary.

She was married to William Aaron, who preceded her in death in 1999, and then to Donald Wood, who preceded her in death in 2005.

Arrangements are under the care of the Goble Funeral Home and Crematory, 330 Wood Street in Clarion where visitation will be held from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. on Monday. An additional visitation will be held from 10-11 a.m. on Tuesday with funeral services at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home with Rev. Dr. Jonathan Scanlon, pastor of the First Presbyterian Church of Clarion, officiating. Interment will be in the Miola Cemetery.
