LuAnn Carbaugh, 62, of Kennerdell, Rockland Township, died peacefully at her home on Friday afternoon, October 20, 2017, following a brief battle with cancer.

She was born in Oil City on April 4, 1955, to the late Louis and Bonnie (Duncan) Bowser.

She was a 1973 graduate of Keystone High School.

She was of the Lutheran faith.

LuAnn enjoyed nature and the outdoors, her rock garden and flowers, but above all, she cherished time spent with her family and friends, and all of the shenanigans she got into with her girls.

She also loved the children in her community and babysat many of them through the years.

She was a dedicated homemaker, wife, mother, and grandma.

LuAnn was married in Nickleville on December 18, 1976, to Jim Carbaugh, and he survives, along with their three children: Jason Carbaugh of Kennerdell, Tracy Carbaugh and her significant other Jason Fornof of Oil City, and Katie Sottiaux and her husband Jacob of Seneca; and a granddaughter, whom she was especially close to, Brylee Sottiaux.

She is also survived by a brother, Neale Bowser and his wife Betty of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina; a sister, Julie Bowser and her significant other, Ted Rockwell of Clarion; her mother-in-law, Pat Carbaugh; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Family and friends will be received on Sunday, November 5th from 11 a.m. until noon at the Hile-Best Funeral Home, 2781 Rte. 257 in Seneca, Cranberry Township, where a Celebration of Life Service will follow at noon.

Following the service, a memorial luncheon will be held at 1 p.m. in the Rockland Fire Department Social Hall, 995 Pittsville Road in Kennerdell.
