Lucia M. McKinley Felmlee

| January 21, 2019

Lucia M. McKinley Felmlee of 126 Disque Drive, Seneca, entered this world during a snow blizzard on March 10, 1932.

It is only fitting that she left this earthly home on another cold and snowy day, January 19, 2019, at the age of 86, when she peacefully took her final breath at 9:30 pm surrounded by loving family, six days after suffering another stroke.

She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, and enjoyed spending time with family and friends.

She was the second daughter of the late Lucian M. McKinley and Leilia E. Frisbee Mckinley.

Lucia was a 1950 graduate of Oil City High School and graduated from the Oil City Hospital School of Nursing.

She worked as a registered nurse in labor and delivery at the Oil City Hospital and worked at the Kathryn Genevieve Shop for a number of years.

Lucia was a lifelong member of Christ Episcopal Church and was married there on June 5, 1954 to Leonard E. Felmlee, who survives, by the Reverend Canon Thomas L. Small.

They would have celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary this June.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by a daughter Leann M. Felmlee-Brown and her husband James, and their children, Lucia C. Brown, Amanda M. Brown, and Zachary W. Brown, and by a son, Luke E. Felmlee and his wife Kimberly.

Also surviving are two brothers, Ward R. McKinley and his wife Yvonne of West Fork, AR, and Theodore “Bill” M. McKinley and his wife Gail of El Paso, TX; three sisters-in-law, Miriam Felmlee Dunn Storch, Joyce Felmlee Meade, and Patsy Bickel Felmlee; two brothers-in-law, Kenneth Felmlee and Thomas Felmlee and his wife Marilyn; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Barbara A. McKinley and Mary E. McKinley Baksa and her husband Louis; a brother-in-law, Gerald Felmlee; and a sister-in-law, Delores Felmlee Graham and her husband Hugh.

Friends will be received at the Morrison Funeral Home on Monday, January 21, from 2 to 6 pm.

A funeral service and celebration of life will be held Tuesday, January 22, at 11 am at Christ Episcopal Church with the Reverend Mark Elliston officiating.

Interment will be in Brandon Cemetery in Seneca.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Christ Episcopal Church, 16 Central Ave, Oil City, PA 16301, or to a charity of one’s choice.
