M. Jean Brown, 92, of Oil City, died Friday, August 10, 2018, at Oil City Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center.

Born April 12, 1926, in Oil City, she was a daughter of the late Edward T. and Martha Hubbard Flynn.

Mrs. Brown was a 1943 graduate of St. Joseph High School.

She was a member of St. Joseph Church.

Mrs. Brown belonged to the Oil City Club and the Franklin Club.

On November 23, 1949, she was married in St. Joseph Church by Bishop Edward P. McManaman to William L. Brown, who preceded her in death on April 27, 2010.

Surviving are a son, David L. Brown of St. Charles MO; a daughter, Lynn Jasiota and companion Neil Johnson of Oil City; six grandchildren, Steven Brown and Ryan Brown of St. Charles MO, Jill Godard and husband Justin of Ashland VA, Gregory Jasiota of Pittsburgh, Christopher Jasiota of Washington DC and William Jasiota of Ellicott City MD; and 3 great grandchildren, Isabella Godard, Olivia Godard and Noah Godard.

Also surviving are a sister-in-law, Kathryn Brown of Loveland OH and several nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Brown was preceded in death by her parents and husband.

Friends may call at the Morrison Funeral Home on Sunday from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Monday in Our Lady of Help of Christians Church.

Interment will be in Grove Hill Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to a charity of one’s choice.
