Mable C. Pifer, 82, of Maple Avenue, DuBois, PA, died Wednesday, January 31, 2018, at the home of her daughter in Black Lick, PA.

Born on June 11, 1935, in DuBois, PA, she was the daughter of the late Frederick & Betty (Ballantyne) Gent.

Her husband of 62 years, Donald E. Pifer, preceded her in death on April 15, 2017

She, along with her husband, retired as the owner/operator of Keller Brothers Cleaners in DuBois after over 30 years of service.

Mable was a life member of the First United Methodist Church in DuBois and was a member and past officer of the DuBois Nursing Home Auxiliary. She was a past Girl Scout leader and was a volunteer for the Boy Scout troop at Lakeside United Methodist Church.

Mable is survived by her daughters, Pastor Dawn Krishart and her husband, Thomas of Black Lick, PA, and Kimberly Pifer of DuBois, PA; and a son, Philip Pifer and his wife, Misty Perry-Pifer of Sunbury, OH. She is also survived by three grandchildren, Jonathan Krishart of Blacklick, OH, Matthew Krishart of DuBois, PA, and Rowan Pifer of Sunbury, OH, as well as two great-grandsons, Cameron and James Krishart. She is also survived by a brother, Thomas Gent of Joshua Tree, CA.

She was preceded in death by her sister, Shirley Tessauro.

Friends will be received on Saturday, February 3, 2018, from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. at the Baronick Funeral Home & Crematorium, Inc.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 3, 2018, at 12:00 p.m. at the Baronick Funeral Home & Crematorium, Inc. with Pastor Katrina Laude officiating.
