Majority of County Residents Have Had Power Restored

VENANGO CO., Pa. (EYT) — Electric companies have restored power to the vast majority of residents in the region after Monday’s severe storms.

There are still some waiting to have power restored, but the number is less than 300.

For Central Electric Cooperative, 36 of its customers in Clarion County are without power, and just two in Venango remain without electric.

Central Electric Cooperative, Inc. is a Touchstone Energy Cooperative serving approximately 25,000 members with over 3,000 miles of distribution line in portions of Allegheny, Armstrong, Butler, Clarion, Forest, Mercer, and Venango counties. Find out more by visiting www.central.coop.

For Penelec customers, there are 201 without power in Clarion, Venango, Forest, and Jefferson counties. That’s down from 600 Tuesday night. Clarion County has the most power outages with 94, Venango County has 63, Forest County has 44, and there are no customers in Jefferson without power.

In Clarion County, Unilec has about 26 customers in Farmington Township still without power, while Barnett Township has 23 without electricity. Henderson Township in Jefferson County has seven without power.
