Man Accused of Assaulting Nurse Allegedly Threatened to ‘Break Every Bone in Her Body’

loeb-mug-newMONROE TWP., Pa. (EYT) – New details emerged Monday in the alleged aggravated assault of a registered nurse at the Clarion Psychiatric Center in Monroe Township, Clarion County.

Clarion-based State Police investigated an incident where a patient at the psychiatric center, 42-year-old Bernardo Wilson Loeb, III, of Birdsboro, Pa., became upset Sunday around 1:10 a.m. on April 2.

According to a criminal complaint filed by Tpr. Knight, Loeb reportedly began yelling at a 58-year-old Stoneboro woman who was on-duty working as a Registered Nurse.

During the altercation, Loeb allegedly threatened the victim, by stating that he would “break every bone in her body, pull her hair, and smash her face.”

He then allegedly reached across the desk and struck the victim on the side of the face near her left eye and broke her eyeglasses, according to the criminal complaint.

The criminal complaint states that the victim separated herself from the situation while other employees restrained Loeb.

The eyeglasses were valued at $400.00, according to the criminal complaint.

Loeb was arrested and arraigned before Magisterial District Judge Timothy P. Schill on the following offenses:

  • Aggravated Assault, Felony 2
  • Simple Assault, Misdemeanor 2
  • Harassment – Subject Other to Physical Contact, Summary
  • Criminal Mischief – Damage Property, Summary

Loeb remains lodged in the Clarion County Jail on $25,000.00 cash bail.

He faces a preliminary hearing for April 11 at 1:30 p.m. before Judge Schill.
