Man Accused of DUI with Four-Year-Old Child in Car Following Crash in Frenchcreek Township

FRENCHCREEK TWP., Pa. (EYT) — Police say a man was arrested for DUI and child endangerment following a crash in Frenchcreek Township, Venango County.

Around 4:42 p.m. on Wednesday, July 25, Officer Schmader, of the Franklin-based State Police, was dispatched to investigate a one-vehicle motor crash in Frenchcreek Township.

The vehicle — a 2013 Kia Soul — was occupied by a known, 30-year-old Meadville man and his four-year-old daughter.

Officer Schmader detected a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage when he was at the suspect’s vehicle.

The suspect was given field sobriety tests and was subsequently arrested for suspicion of DUI and Endangering the Welfare of a Child.

Charges are pending blood results.

Information on the crash has not been provided.

The name of the suspect was not released.
