CRANBERRY TOWNSHIP, Venango Co. (EYT) — A 45-year-old man has been accused of theft at Ollie’s Bargain Outlet store in Cranberry Township, according to Franklin-based State Police.

Police say Kevin Lewis McGarvie, 45, of Erie, was allegedly observed entering the store with a plastic bag containing clothing. He then went to the book department and picked up five books and one DVD.

McGarvie then went to the checkout counter to return the clothing items, according to police.

He was questioned by the teller about the books and DVD in his possession, and he said he had brought the books and DVD into the store with him, police say.

Video footage showed that McGarvie didn’t bring the books and DVD into the store, according to police.

The case is currently processing in Venango County District Court.
