Man Accused of Threatening to Kill Woman in Seneca

CRANBERRY TWP., Pa. (EYT) — A 35-year-old man is facing charges after he allegedly assaulted and threatened to kill a woman during a February 12 domestic dispute in Seneca, Venango County.

According to a criminal complaint filed by Franklin-based State Police Trooper Bingman, troopers were dispatched to 249 Mark Drive around 1:00 p.m. to investigate a domestic disturbance.

The victim stated told investigators that Troy Michael Irwin, 35, of Seneca, grabbed her by the neck and slammed her head against a wall during an argument.

Irwin also allegedly told the victim “I’m going to kill you, you f**king b*tch,” according to the criminal complaint.

Following the incident, police were able to observe injuries to the victim’s head/neck area.

A 17-year-old female was also in the home at the time of the altercation and corroborated the victim’s story, according to the criminal complaint.

The following charges were filed against Irwin:

  • Terroristic Threats with Int To Terrorize Another, Misdemeanor 1
  • Simple Assault, Misdemeanor 2
  • Harassment — Subject Other to Physical Contact, Summary

He was released from the Venango County Jail on February 26 after posting $50,000 cash bond.

Irwin waived the charges during a March 1 preliminary hearing before Magisterial District Judge Andrew F. Fish.

The case has been transferred to the Venango County Court of Common Pleas.
