Man Arrested After Fleeing Suspected DUI Crash in Oil City

OIL CITY, Pa. (EYT) – Oil City Police say on December 13, a DUI arrest was made on Main Street, in Oil City, Venango County.

According to police, around 11:05 p.m. on December 13, James William Myers, Jr. crashed a 1999 Jeep Grand Cherokee on Main Street near Center Street.

Following the crash, Myers allegedly fled the scene on foot only to be arrested a short time later at a residence on Pearl Avenue, police say.

Myers was also driving without a valid license and without authorization to use the vehicle, according to police.

He was subsequently arrested for DUI and other offenses.

The vehicle was towed and impounded by Minich’s Towing Service.
