Man Arrested for Unauthorized Use of Vehicle in Franklin

FRANKLIN, Pa. (EYT) — Around 1:00 p.m. on December 29, Franklin Police investigated the unauthorized use of a vehicle by a Washington man.

Through investigation, it was determined that Jonathan Joseph Amon, of Washington, Pa., allegedly used a vehicle belonging to his ex-girlfriend without her permission, according to police.

Amon allegedly took the vehicle’s keys from the woman’s apartment on the 1200 block of Elk Street, in Franklin, after an argument, and subsequently drove the vehicle from the City of Franklin to Washington, Pa., on December 31 after an argument with her, police say.

He was arrested via criminal complaint and charged with one count of Unauthorized Use of Automobiles.

No other details were provided.
