Wanted Man Leads Oil City Police on Foot Chase; Faces Escape, Resisting Arrest Charges

ArrestOIL CITY, Pa. (EYT) – Oil City Police report an arrest was made after a wanted man allegedly attempted to resist arrest and escape in Oil City, Venango County.

Police say at 4:57 p.m. March 2, officers arrived at 307 East Third Street to serve a warrant.

Officers made contact with Eric Streater who was wanted by the Venango County Sherriff’s Office.

Police say that when Streater was informed of the warrant, he pulled away from the officers, knocked one to the ground, and continued to flee.

After a foot pursuit and a search of the area, offices located Streater behind an East Fourth Street house.

Streater was taken into custody and arraigned by Judge Patrick Lowrey on the following charges:

– Escape
– Resisting Arrest
– Disorderly Conduct

Streater was lodged in the Venango County Jail in lieu of $75,000 Bail.
