FRANKLIN, Pa. (EYT) — A Venango County man is facing charges after he allegedly trespassed at a Franklin residence and photographed an unknowing family.

Franklin-based State Police said Zachary Shontz, 18, of Franklin, took a photograph of the victims sitting inside their Orchard Street residence on September 3 around 11:20 p.m.

Shontz was outside the residence when the photograph was taken and the victims were unaware that he was there. Shontz also allegedly took a photo of a vehicle parked outside of the residence.

Police said Shontz then sent the photos to at least two of the victims using Facebook messenger and Snapchat.

Shontz had been told previously that he was not welcome at the residence and “caused alarm when he sent the photographs to the victims,” according to police.

The victims are listed as a 21-year-old woman, a 17-year-old girl, a 20-year-old woman, a 47-year-old woman, and a 21-year-old man — all of Franklin.

Shontz was cited for Simple Trespass and Disorderly Conduct through District Judge Matthew T. Kirtland’s office.
