Man Commits Suicide after Standoff with Police in Western Crawford County

CRAWFORD COUNTY, Pa. (EYT) — According to sources, a man commited suicide after a standoff along Route 98 in Hayfield Township, Crawford County, Pa.

Meadville-based State Police say a man who was hiding out inside his Hayfield Township apartment in a standoff on Friday has committed suicide.

According to sources, on Friday around 12:30 p.m. police were called to the Hayfield Township apartment located along Route 98 in Crawford County, following a report that the man inside the building was armed.

Police say the man was alone, and no one else was injured.

No further details were provided.

The incident is under investigation.
