Man Faces Charges After Using Company Credit Card Over 20 Times for Personal Use

BARKEYVILLE, Pa. (EYT) – Police filed charges against a man accused of using a company credit card multiple times to put gas in his personal vehicle.

Court documents indicate the Polk Borough Police Department filed criminal charges against 48-year-old William L. Crum Jr., of Wooster, OH.

According to a criminal complaint, Crum was caught on surveillance video at Midwest Transports in Barkeyville using a company Comdata card to put gas in his personal vehicle without authorization.

In a police interview, Crum admitted to using the card for personal use since the summer of 2017, knowing he was not authorized to use it for personal uses. An investigation showed that he used the card to put gas in his personal vehicle at least 23 times, the complaint states.

Based on the investigation, on March 7, the following charge was filed against Crum in Magisterial District Judge Patrick E. Lowrey’s office:

– Other Reason Access Device Is Unauthorized By Issuer, Misdemeanor 1

A preliminary hearing is scheduled at 8:30 a.m. on Wednesday, April 4, with Judge Lowrey presiding.
