OIL CITY, Pa. (EYT) — A man is in jail after he fled Oil City Police during an attempted traffic stop early Friday morning.

Around 2:12 a.m. Lieutenant Love, of the Oil City Police Department, attempted to make a traffic stop in the municipal lot on Center Street.

The driver — Kenneth Fentem — failed to stop as required. He finally stopped in front of 112 Feely Avenue, exited the truck, and threw his keys toward Lt. Love, according to police.

Police say “Fentem began yelling and refused to stop when ordered. (He) was found to be under the influence of an alcoholic beverage and was arrested.”

He was arraigned by Judge Fish.

Unable to post $5,000.00 monetary bail, he was lodged in the Venango County Jail.
