Man Injured in Rollover Crash in Barkeyville

police-newBARKEYVILLE, Pa. (EYT) – A traffic accident was reported on Interstate 80 in Barkeyville earlier this week.

According to Franklin-based State Police, on December 13, Timothy Doner, 21, of Pittsburgh, was driving west in the left-hand lane on I-80 and passing traffic while traveling about 70 miles per hour when he lost control of a 2002 Dodge Stratus.

Doner’s car left the road to the south, hit an embankment, and flipped onto its roof before sliding on to the highway where it came to a rest.

Doner suffered possibly minor injuries, police say.

Keron Smith, 25, of Philadelphia, was a passenger in the car and was not injured.

Hovis Auto Wrecking towed the Stratus from the scene.

Doner was charged with a traffic violation.
