Man Seriously Injured After Being Thrown from Motorcycle

TIONESTA TWP., Pa. (EYT) – State Police in Marienville have released details on a Friday afternoon crash in Tionesta that left a motorcyclist seriously injured.

According to Marienville-based State Police, around 12:18 p.m. on Friday, July 6, 34-year-old Becki R. See, of Titusville, was operating a 2017 Ford F250 Superduty, traveling south on State Route 36, in Tionesta Township, Forest County.

At the same time, 63-year-old Steven C. Bayer, of Evans City, was operating a 2008 Harley Davidson Ultra Classic, traveling north on State Route 36.

Police say See attempted to negotiate a left-hand turn onto State Route 62 and struck Bayer’s vehicle.

Bayer was thrown from his bike and landed on the shoulder of the northbound lane of State Route 36 approximately 10 feet from the motorcycle.

Bayer was transported to UPMC Hamot by LifeFlight for treatment of serious injuries. Bayer was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.

There is no word on his current condition.

See was wearing a seatbelt and was not injured.

She was issued a traffic citation.

Tionesta Ambulance Service and Frank’s Auto and Sons Inc. assisted at the scene.
