| April 18, 2017

stevestephensERIE, Pa. (EYT) – The manhunt continues for a Cleveland man accused of killing an elderly man and uploading a video of it to Facebook.

According to a published article on nbcnews.com, federal and local law enforcement officials in at least five states are searching for Steven Stephens.

Cleveland Police Chief Calvin Williams said his department’s reach is all over the country.

Stephens was on the run after posting footage of the alleged killing of Robert Godwin, 74, in northeast Cleveland near Lake Erie.

A $50,000.00 reward is being offered by the FBI and other federal authorities for information leading to the arrest of Stephens.

There were reported sightings of a man fitting Stephens’ description in Philadelphia Monday afternoon, but police there said there is no indication he is there.

According to published reports, Stephens is described as a black male, 6-foot-1-inch tall, and weighing 244 pounds.

State Police say Stephens is known to be armed and dangerous.

He was last known to be driving a 2016 white Ford Fusion that had a temporary tag.

His current direction of travel is unknown; however, he was last known to be in Cleveland.

Although Stephens has claimed responsibility for more murders, those are unconfirmed.

According to Erie-based State Police, there is no confirmed information that Stephens is in the area.

According to Cleveland Police, Stephens’ cell phone last released a “ping,” or a signal, in Erie.

Cleveland police are asking residents in Pennsylvania, New York, Michigan, and Indiana to be on the lookout for Stephens.

Anyone with information should call 911 immediately.
