Margaret OsgoodMargaret Betty Osgood, 93 of Franklin, finally gave up on her time here on earth to be with her Lord and Savior during this most important week.

Margaret was preceded in death by her parents, Charles F. Osgood, Sr. and his wife Mildred B. who were originally from Claremont, New Hampshire; An older brother, C. Fred Osgood, Jr. and his wife Rita from Westmoreland, New Hampshire; As well as her sister Mary’s late husband, David McRae Irwin from Chicago who was originally from Cleveland, Ohio.

Margaret was born on November 24, 1923 in Claremont, New Hampshire.

She attended the University of New Hampshire and worked in retail sales from: Halle Brothers Clothing Store in Erie, Pa. to locally at The fashion Shoppe and Whitmer’s Clothing Store.

She also worked with children at a Foster Childcare Home in Warren, Pa. Margaret had many fond memories from that time in her life.

When her father and mother began losing their health in their later years, Margaret quit her job and moved home to be their loving caregiver until their passing.

She then became a resident at the Colonial Manor for several years until moving to Sugar Creek Station.

Her hobby was her original poetry that has been well recognized and appreciated.

Those surviving are brother John Osgood and Shirley, his wife of Cicero, N.Y., sister Mary Irwin of Palatine, Illinois, and sister Sarah and her husband Harry Miller of Linwood, N.J., and her brother Steve and his wife, Wanda of Franklin, along with several nieces and nephews.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Gardinier Funeral Home, Inc., 1315 Chestnut Street, Franklin.

There will be no viewing and a memorial service will be scheduled at St. John’s Episcopal Church in Franklin on a later date at the convenience of the family.
