Margaret F. (Peggy) Camp Winger, 62, passed away on August 20, 2017, at her home in Lewisville, TX, surrounded by her loving family.

She had been battling ovarian cancer for the past two years.

Born on April 15, 1955, she was the sixth child and third daughter of the late William and Marian (Mame) Hunt Camp.

Peggy graduated in 1973 from Venango Christian High School (as it was then known).

She married Robert Winger on April 19, 1975, four days after her 20th birthday (to avoid being a “teenage bride”). They had 42 years together. He remains in Lewisville.

In 1973, Peggy went to work in Accounts Payable for Quaker State, where she would remain through the company’s move to Texas in 1995. After the company’s sale, Peggy took on a similar role at Texas New Mexico Power Company, where she remained a valued colleague and friend until the time of her passing.

Peggy wore her heart on her sleeve, so you never had to wonder how she felt about you.

She enjoyed nothing more than spending time with family, whether it was cooking a Thanksgiving feast, attending her grandchildren’s events, or simply enjoying an evening “kicking back and chilling.”

Just two weeks before her passing, Peggy made a surprise visit to Oil City. Her unexpected arrival prompted an influx of family members, including all eight of her siblings. They enjoyed time swapping stories, playing cards and laughing together. It was an amazing final gift to her family.

In addition to her husband, Peggy will be sorely missed by her daughter, Brooke, and husband Trey Calloway of Keller, TX, and her daughter, Rachel, and her husband Clint Conley of North Richland Hills, TX. She also leaves behind two grandchildren, Carter and Reagan Calloway, who were the light of her life.

Peggy is survived by eight siblings and their spouses: Jim and Kathy Camp of Erie, PA; Marcia Camp of Oil City, PA; Greg and Sharon Camp of Naples, FL; Karen and Ted Niederriter of Ft. Myers, FL; Roberta and Greg Faller of Fryburg, PA; Bob Camp of Oil City, PA; Mary and John Brown of Naples, FL; and Martha Camp of Naples, FL. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, and their families, as well as extended family and friends.

In addition to her parents, Peggy was preceded in death by her brother, Kevin, sister-in-law, Mary Jo, and niece, Colleen Faller. They are likely enjoying a lively reunion.

In lieu of flowers, please remember Peggy by making someone else laugh. She would love that. And, if you are inclined, you may send a donation to the National Ovarian Cancer Coalition in Peggy’s honor.

A memorial service will be held Saturday at 3:30 p.m. at Mulkey-Mason Funeral Home, 740 Edmonds Lane, Lewisville, TX.

The service will be followed by a celebration of Peggy’s life at the family home.

Online condolences may be posted on the funeral home website at Mulkeymason.com.
