Margaret J. Lever, 90, of Liberty Towers, Clarion passed away Saturday, September 16, 2017, at her home.

She was born on March 23, 1927, in Oakdale. The daughter of the late John and Minnie Belle Rayne McAteer.

Margaret graduated from Westinghouse High School.

She married James Lever in 1949 who preceded her in death in 2001.

They lived in various communities in Pennsylvania where she worked as a clerk and bookkeeper before moving to Florida where she worked at Walmart.

Margaret had many friends at Liberty Towers and enjoyed bingo and potluck dinners there, lunching at Michelle’s Cafe and visiting people and businesses on Main Street. She always had a smile for everyone.
She is survived by her daughter Nancy DiStefano and husband Tom; a daughter-in-law Jeannie Lever; a granddaughter Katherine DiStefano, great-grandchildren Leah and Chloe, and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a son Robert and several sisters and brothers.

There will be no viewing; a memorial service may be scheduled at a later date.
