Marlene Joyce Lawson, 69, of Marienville, passed away on Saturday, January 12, 2019 at the Windsor House at Snyder Memorial Health Care Center.

Born on April 13, 1949 in Tidioute, she was the daughter of the late Nicholas and Mabel Silka.

In 1969, she married the love of her life, Robert Lawson, Sr.; he survives her.

Marlene was a very compassionate and caring woman, who also enjoyed the simpler things in life. She enjoyed her time sitting on her porch, drinking her tea, and being with her family and visiting. Marlene also enjoyed her arts and crafts, especially her sewing projects.

In addition to her husband, Marlene is survived by her sons, Rick Lawson of Polk, Robert Lawson, Jr. and his wife, Alice, of Titusville, and Steve Lawson of Oil City; her grandchildren, Christopher Lee, Jessie, and Dakota Dwayne Lawson, all of Cooperstown, Robert, Cody, and Brian Lawson, all of Titusville, Crysta Adams of Kansas, Corder Estrada and Tyler Cramer, both of Oil City, Corrina Smith of Titusville, Marissa Aites of Colorado, and Leah and Ferdinand Heckathorn, both of Titusville; and her ten great-grandchildren, with one more on the way.

She is further survived by her brothers, Dave Silka and his wife, Marlene, of Edinboro, and Blaine Silka and his wife, Kathy, of Nashville, TN; her sister, Linda Whitton of Oil City; and her sister-in-law, Joyce Silka of Corry.

Marlene was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Gary Silka; her sisters, Janet Silka and Pat Moore; and her grandson, Allen Lawson.

As per the wishes of the family, there will be no visitation.
